Atlanta

Orthopedic Physical Therapist

At Set Physical Therapy, we are committed to offering an environment where physical therapists can thrive and grow. We value the individual contributions of our team members and support them in following their passions. Our flexible work arrangements ensure that you can find a harmonious balance between your professional ambitions and personal life.

What makes the role at Set unique is all sessions are one-on-one for an hour in a treatment room. This time allows the therapist to use problem solving skills to get to the root of the issue and use a creative approach to diagnosing and treating that transcends traditional methods. The reduced patient caseload per day decreases burn-out and increases overall satisfaction, just ask any of our therapists!

At Set, our physical therapists excel at managing their own schedules, offering the flexibility to align work commitments with personal responsibilities and preferences. This role requires a minimum of 18 hours of patient care per week, with the specific days and times determined by the therapists themselves. For those seeking to treat a higher number of patients per week, we are committed to collaborating with you to achieve your desired patient load.

To build a strong team at Set, we emphasize the importance of taking a thorough history when a patient walks in for the initial evaluation. This involves delving into not only their physical issues but also understanding psychosocial, environmental, and behavioral factors that might contribute to their condition. By being the first to ask deep, meaningful questions, we can identify the root causes of their pain. It’s crucial that our therapists connect empathetically, making patients feel seen and understood, thereby building trust and paving the way for effective treatment and compassionate care.

The team at Set Physical Therapy, spanning Atlanta, Washington DC, and New York, is composed of dynamic, dedicated professionals whose collaboration has enabled us to effectively treat complex conditions such as POTS, EDS, and chronic pain. Each member contributes unique skills, allowing Set to broaden our expertise and enhance our treatment of intricate diagnoses.

For some therapists, marketing and outreach may seem daunting, but it doesn’t have to be. Physical therapists possess unique skills that can be effectively shared with other medical providers in mutually beneficial ways. At Set, we focus on building simple, collaborative relationships with doctors, nutritionists, personal trainers, Pilates instructors, and gym owners. This not only enhances our referral network but also connects us with community members to whom we can refer others.

Due to the one-on-one environment in a gym setting, which offers limited interaction between physical therapists, we recommend having at least two years of experience in an orthopedic setting for greater success. Applicants must hold a valid license to practice physical therapy in Georgia and possess strong skills in managing diverse patient portfolios, developing tailored treatment plans, and excellent interpersonal communication. They should also demonstrate creative problem-solving abilities, a genuine passion for physical therapy, and a commitment to helping patients achieve their health and wellness goals.
