Megan Young has joined our Set Physical Therapy team at the New York office. Megan has been practicing since 2021 and quickly gained valuable experience treating sports and orthopedic injuries in the Westchester and NYC areas.
Originally from Rockland County, NY, Megan grew up Irish dancing and frequently traveled overseas to compete on the world stage. In high school, she switched her focus to cross country and track, picking up three state championships and one national title before graduating. Recruited to run the division I track for Boston College, Megan competed for four years before receiving her bachelor’s degree in Biology in 2017. She remained in Boston to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Northeastern University in 2021 before returning home to NY.
Over her 15+ years as an athlete, Megan has been sidelined by many injuries and channeled those experiences into helping others get back to doing what they love. Her clinical skills thus far include manual therapy techniques, running gait analysis, concussion rehabilitation, strength and conditioning, balance training, and aquatic therapy. Through personal experience, she has also developed a passion for pelvic floor rehabilitation. Megan has completed Athletes and Pelvic Rehabilitation, Pelvic Floor Level 1, and Pelvic Floor Level 2B with the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute to further her knowledge and understanding.
Megan enjoys spending free time with her family and exploring Central Park with her dog, Goose. She is passionate about animal foster and rescue, baking bread, and making ice cream.
