Meredith joined Set PT in September of 2022. She developed an interest in physical therapy early on, after suffering a knee injury while participating in dance while in high school. After seeing how physical therapists work to provide individualized care to athletes to get them back to high levels of performance, Meredith decided to move forward on the pathway from patient to clinician. She went on to pursue her undergraduate degree and Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Ithaca College. To maximize her learning and increase her ability to provide the highest quality of care, Meredith also went on to receive her strength and conditioning certification and complete a residency program in sports physical therapy. Meredith is now a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Sports Rehabilitation.

Meredith has treated patients in a variety of settings such as outpatient orthopedics and sports, aquatic physical therapy, and has provided medical care on the sidelines at sporting events and road races. She has a passion for working with athletes of all kinds from weekend warriors to those at the collegiate and professional levels. Meredith has a special interest in treating runners, tennis players, and barbell athletes. In addition to common orthopedic conditions, Meredith also has experience with the treatment of concussions.

During her physical therapy sessions, Meredith emphasizes patient education and individualized care through taking into account her patients’ goals. She works to take a holistic approach to rehabilitation and ensures that her patients’ plans of care tie back to function. In order to customize her patients’ care Meredith utilizes a variety of modalities/interventions such as dry needling, soft tissue and joint mobilization, cupping, strength and conditioning, blood flow restriction therapy, and kinesiotaping.

Meredith is a native of the Philadelphia Suburbs but now is enjoying her time in Washington DC. Despite the change in location, she is an avid Philadelphia sports fan. When she is not treating patients, Meredith likes to weightlift, ski, play tennis, travel, spend time at the beach, cook, and read.

“I had a terrific experience at SET Physical Therapy thanks to Meredith Harris. Meredith was easy to work with and a great listener. She designed a personal online exercise program—with videos—that I could access at any time. She was always available by email for any questions. Most of all, Meredith helped me understand what was behind each exercise—what muscles to focus on and how proper execution would improve my condition. My lower back and neck are no longer problematic and I have incorporated much of what I learned into my daily routine. I couldn’t have asked for better support or a better outcome.” -SF
