Have you ever wondered what is a great exercise for the quads or the perfect stretch for the Iliotibial band (ITB)? Well you are in for a treat because for the next 100 days we are going to post video clips on Instagram and Twitter that show our favorite physical therapy tips called #100HealthyPTtips. We wanted to bring our knowledge directly to you in a format that enabled us to show what we are so passionate about at SET Physical Therapy.

We are committed to providing our patients with the highest quality of care but also believe that sharing what we love can help benefit others. All four offices have joined together in this amazing task to bring you variety and expertise in many areas. Here is a quick preview of what you might see…

Chris, the Director at the DC location, gave us a great exercise that used multiple muscle groups. He had his patient perform a plank and then moved in a sideways motion. This exercise is engages the core for stabilization, the shoulders for stabilization and works the lower body with the medial glutes. He then added text in addition for his voice explanation to make sure that the audience understood the purpose of this exercise. His text read, “This is a great exercise for scapular stability and Glute medius activation. If you’re looking to incorporate an exercise that will get your shoulders feeling more stable and legs engaged pre workout this is a good add on. #PhysicalTherapy #ScapStability #Shoulders #Exercise #Glutes #LegDay #work”.
